Whether you’re a senior in high school or the parent of one, there’s a lot to prepare for ahead of the first year of college. There are many due dates and serious conversations that need to be had, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. The important thing to know is that you do not have to go through this alone, and there are many resources to help guide you along your journey in higher education.
In our latest episode, Karly Scholl, the College Planner here at CommunityAmerica, offers insights on upcoming college deadlines, as well as some conversations and common misconceptions she sees in her position. We dive into the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as the FAFSA, along with what to expect as those applications open October 1st. Deciding what type of college – public or private, 2 year or 4 year, can have a significant impact on cost. This podcast is beneficial to both parents and students and can offer some direction on how to tackle these big deadlines throughout senior year. Listen today and begin your college planning journey.
